It's possible I don't understand you fully but the handbrake in LFS doesn't speed the car up in reverse. But if you use a program to change the handbrake power to a negative value (or something like that) it doesn't matter which direction the car goes handbrake will accelerate the car.

I made a little .bat file which runs ping and tracert then saves the output to a text file. It's easier for beginners. It can be found here. (right click, save link as..)

Widescreen effect is not working properly in Player screen. See pics.
Edit: There is another bug related to widescreen effect: Start a race, then pit and you'll see that the car is disorted like in my 3rd picture.

I think you should try LFS in a motion simulator. You can't feel any G-forces when you are sitting in an office chair. Lot of people say that they've pushed their cars really hard but none of them measured the forces in any way to back it up with evidence. Most people doesn't realise how much they depend on seat of pants feedback.

You have a link to prove that, or is it just rumour-causing speculation? Because we don't need any more of that.

As far as I can remember, we've been told about a graphic update for SO, but no specifics on a redesign or just retexturing (or even a date/patch estimate). And there has been nothing said about AI, since there's no point fixing that until the tracks, cars and physics are all in a near final state.

Next thing on the list after patch X is to sort out the AI drivers. Although that's not what everyone cares about, there are a lot of people who do use single player.
